An opportunity has arisen for the position of Transport Manager at Forest Freight Ltd.

Based at our Rainham Depot, Essex, the ideal candidate would have previous experience within a logistic based business with the ability to operate around 50 HGV vehicles.

Required Experience and Skills

Experience/knowledge of being an O license holder

You must hold a Certificate of Professional Competence

Upholding and overseeing the undertakings of the Operator’s Licence

Up to date CPD

Logistics experience 5+ years

Excellent interpersonal skills

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Ability to run a fleet of vehicles profitably

Understanding and implementation of maintenance planning

Understanding of driver’s hours and working time regulations

Understanding of ADR

Excellent knowledge of EU drivers’ hours and Working time Directive

Upholding FORS accreditation BRONZE and SILVER

Working to ISO 9001:2015 standards

Computer literate, with an understanding of telematic data

Be an ambassador for Health and Safety and to ensure compliance for quality, health and safety, environmental and legislative requirements.

Provision of management information and KPI’s as required

Understanding and managing driver infringements

The ability to deliver effective Toolbox Talks

Ability to work well under pressure and to meet deadlines

Up to date CPD

Salary based on experience.
