The Role
Working in a busy department, this exciting new opportunity has arisen to develop a bulk tippers transport operation to support existing volumes currently been handled through Teesport and Hartlepool plus to further support our customer’s needs. You will be responsible for the smooth running of day-to-day operations and implementation of successful contract wins. In addition, you will be responsible for ensuring the existing transport operation remains compliant through close management of the transport teams.
This position has become available due to a new Tipper contract being won.
The Candidate
The ideal candidate will need experience in all avenues of transport management including bulk tippers, flat trailers, curtain-sider’s and containers plus the knowledge to back load vehicles throughout the UK. Able to provide a first class transport service to our customers whilst ensuring Health and Safety is not jeopardised and have the ability to plan vehicles effectively to meet departmental budgets and individual/business KPI’s.
The four main things our Transport Manager will be working on are:
· Delivering against financial targets.
· Commercial developments.
· Maintaining TASCC accreditation.
· Managing Health & Safety.
We are seeking someone who:
· Has at least five years operating/managing a fleet of bulk tippers.
· Good analytical skills and experience managing change.
· Holds a CPC Transport Management qualification.
· Proven track record of developing and leading a team to support the growth of the business.
· Excellent communication skills.
· O Licence holder.
