Ready for a change? Looking for a role that you can develop into? Are you a hands-on Transport Manager ready for your big break? We are looking for someone like you. We’re currently recruiting for a Transport Manager to be based at Lutterworth Magna Park for our contract with Avantor. You’ll be responsible for a long-standing contract, with a fleet of 28 vehicles operating out of 8 locations. Being the Operating Licence holder, you’ll oversee the safe, compliant and accurate delivery of Avantor products, across Mondays to Fridays with no Bank Holiday working.

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £42,500 per annum. In addition, we offer 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays), as well as the option to buy additional days. What you’ll do on a typical day:

• Support the Account Manager with adherence to all compliance and legal obligations with a huge emphasis on safety, deputising in their absence
• Assist with executing the daily plan for all deliveries and collections, with a keen eye on resource available at site and keep the customer updated
• Ensure all process and procedures are followed and that we operate a safe and efficient environment
• Provide leadership and guidance for the Transport team to enable them to meet objectives, encouraging open communication

What you need to succeed at XPO:

• It’s important you have exposure of working in a fast-paced environment – no two days will be the same and we need you to think on your feet.
• Previous experience supervising and developing a team within a transport environment.
• Every day you’ll need to have an eye on continuous improvement of operational efficiencies and fleet performance - do you have a track record of improving things.
• Hold an up-to-date International CPC Qualification, Essential
• Commercially astute with experience managing open book accounts.
• Ability to build professional working relationships with all stakeholders
