Elevation Recruitment are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented individual to work for a leading Construction company in Rotherham.

As a Transport Co-ordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the transportation department. You will be responsible for handling administrative tasks, coordinating transportation schedules, and assisting in maintaining compliance with industry regulations. This position is ideal for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment and have a passion for logistics.

Responsibilities of the Transport Co-ordinator:

  • Collaborate with transportation teams to plan delivery routes, considering factors such as traffic, weather, and delivery windows
  • Prepare and maintain accurate records of transportation activities, including driver logs, shipment manifests, and compliance documentation
  • Act as a liaison between drivers, customers, and internal teams to provide timely updates and resolve any issues that may arise during transportation
  • Ensure that all transportation operations adhere compliance regulations
  • Analyse transportation data to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to enhance efficiency and reduce costs
  • Assist in tracking and managing inventory levels to ensure adequate stock for deliveries
  • Generate reports and provide regular updates to management on transportation performance, costs, and key performance indicators

Requirements of the Transport Co-ordinator:

  • Previous experience in transportation administration or logistics is preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Familiarity with transportation regulations and industry standards is a plus
