You’ll be part of our first line of defence, managing and developing a team of Transaction Monitoring experts. You’ll be ensuring the team is appropriately resourced, trained and informed for the investigation of monitoring alerts through to escalating any suspicious activity.

You’ll be analysing performance and looking for ways to optimise effectiveness and address emerging trends. If you’re a Transaction Monitoring subject matter expert with proven experience in team management, we are keen to hear from you.

The difference you will make.

  • Ensuring the team are appropriately set up for investigating and analysing all automated transaction monitoring alerts across the Santander product range

  • Conducting quality assurance on investigations into accounts upon which alerts have been generated

  • Setting team objectives and supporting ongoing performance assessment criteria

  • Collaborating with other stakeholders to develop new and enhance existing alert definitions and scenarios and address IT issues

  • Ensuring Procedures and Process documents are maintained and understood

  • Promoting communication within the team - ensuring learning and experiences are shared and trends are more quickly identified and communicated

What you will bring.

We are looking for people who can help shape, influence and transform the bank’s capabilities, ensuring we continue to disrupt financial crimes, and support and enable the right outcomes for our customers .

  • Subject matter expertise in all aspects of Transaction Monitoring, ideally with Correspondent Banking experience

  • Team and people management skills with the ability to effectively engage own team as well as key stakeholders

It would also be nice for you to have.

  • General Financial Crime knowledge with the ability to identify AML and Terrorist Financing Risk and experience of suspicious activity reporting.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to convert and consolidate complex data into simple messages and as well as experience producing more comprehensive reports.

  • Proven investigation and rationale write up skills.

  • Excellent communication skills both written, verbal and interpersonal.

Given the impact of the Coronavirus outbreak we will be conducting all interviews via telephone or video-conference where possible.

This is a permanent position and can be based in our offices in London, Milton Keynes, Glasgow or Sheffield.
