Training Specialist - 12 month contract - Christchurch - £57.87ph UMB or £45.03ph PAYE + £6.55ph accrued in holiday credit (Inside IR35)

Role description:

Our client is looking for a Training Specialist to join their team to complete training activities during the analysis, design, development, delivery and support phases of the training lifecycle to agreed timescales and budget. Training activities will include working at multiple customer sites and working to a demanding and complex schedule.

Main responsibilities will include:

  • Completing Training Needs Analysis (TNA) activities and Instructional Design (ID) and development activities in accordance with a recognised Systems Approach to Training.
  • Supporting the Technical Authority in the development and implementation of tailored TNA and ID processes.
  • Production of appropriate training documentation, providing proposals to enhance existing training methods, as well as developing traditional and Technology Enhanced Learning media.
  • Supporting Customer acceptance activities.
  • Providing training guidance to team members by delivering training at the clients & customer sites as required
  • Adhering to Governance, Configuration and Change Control processes,

What we are looking for in you:

Your skills and qualifications:

  • A graduate in a training or training related subject.
  • Substantial experience of training analysis, design and delivery within Defence or the wider Defence Industry sector.
  • Excellent working knowledge and experience of the Defence Systems Approach to Training (DSAT), including the DSAT Quality Management Standard (QMS) and DSAT guidance documentation.
  • Good working knowledge of Training/Engineering Lifecycle Management.
  • Good working knowledge of complex systems and software.
  • An awareness of crewed or un-crewed air systems is desirable.

  • Must have strong communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships.
  • Enjoy team dynamics and able to foster a positive team spirit.
  • Be willing to work away from their home site for periods of time.
  • Prepared to gain full SC clearance with caveats, e.g. UK Eyes Only.

The successful applicant will need to demonstrate competence in the above and be:

  • Influential and assertive.
  • Able to work unsupervised.
  • Innovative and able to drive improvement.
  • Self-organised and good with management of time and conflicting priorities.

Security requirements:SC + ITAR

This role will require the person to hold full Security Clearance (SC) prior to working onsite. You will need to obtain a Criminal Record Check and must currently hold or be eligible and willing to obtain SC. This role involves direct access to ITAR Material, therefore we can only consider UK Nationals for this position. If you are unsure as to whether you are eligible, please contact me to discuss.

The Umbrella rate quoted above is the Gross Umbrella rate (i.e. the rate we pay to the Umbrella Company inclusive of ALL employment costs). Please note, the rate paid by the Umbrella will be less, as will a Limited Deemed rate or Agency PAYE rate. Please get in touch to discuss the rates via these different payment vehicles.
