Due to continued growth and exciting projects to further enhance our L&D offering and support our outstanding colleagues. We are looking for an energised, passionate and experienced learning and development professional to join the people team as a Training Specialist.

In this role you will be integral in supporting our colleagues develop their professional capability and deliver upon our impactful and innovative Learning and Development strategy, by providing specialist expertise to our colleagues and driving the successful delivery of key projects.

Working in collaboration with the Learning and Development Business Partner and wider business you will support the enhancement of our teaching and learning, colleague induction and development opportunities for existing and incoming colleagues.

Key elements of this role include:

  • Support the L&D Business Partner in delivering initiatives and programmes that shape continuous improvement and development
  • Support with the creation, implementation and carrying out of assessments
  • Analyse capability assessment results to identify current training needs
  • Design innovative, engaging and impactful blended learning solutions
  • Lead on the upcoming Graduate Personal Tutor programme including content build and delivery
  • Design and deliver a suite of pedagogy training including but not limited to Award/Certificate in Education (AET/CET)
  • Delivery of the Training, Assessing and Quality Assurance (TAQA) qualification in collaboration with our internal Quality team
  • Support new colleagues during their induction
  • Provide in-depth coaching and mentoring support to colleagues throughout their learning journey and beyond
  • Drive a culture of continuous professional development and personal enhancement

Requirements:

Qualifications We Need From You

  • Grade A-C GCSE in English and Maths or equivalent
  • Minimum Level 3 Assessor qualification (CAVA, TAQA, A1)
  • PGCE, Certificate in Education or equivalent training qualification
  • CIPD Level 5 in Learning and Development would be beneficial

Experience and skills our ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience of conceptualising, designing, delivering and evaluating innovative learning solutions both in person and remotely
  • Experience designing and delivering AET, CET and TAQA programmes to a high standard
  • Proficient in creating digital learning resources and CPD material including factsheets, webinars and online learning material
  • Knowledge of Further Education or Work-based learning sector including funding and levy
  • Confident in developing individualised learning plans to meet a diverse range of needs
  • Ability to motivate, inspire and facilitate learning both remotely and in person
  • Pedagogically astute and able to create blended learning content
  • Effective presentation, delivery and communication skills both written and verbal
  • IT Literate with strong experience in MS Office including Teams, PowerPoint and VLE/LMS platforms
