Looking after our team begins at the forefront of our training & development programme and we’re looking for someone who can lead our employee journey process from onboarding, right through to in-house training.

You’ll be our ‘go to’ team member for all things people and ensuring everyone at Portland has a positive employee experience and can develop in their roles.

You’ll also be supporting and working alongside our HR and recruitment team to boost the effectiveness of the hiring process, alongside designing & executing comprehensive onboarding plans to ensure an impactful new hire experience.

Responsibilities

  • Running the onboarding process
  • Delivering training programmes
  • Preparing onboarding kits
  • Being the first point of contact for new team members & especially making sure they are well looked after on their first day!
  • Identifying training needs within the company
  • Supporting HR & Recruitment with new hires
  • Assisting in candidate shortlisting & feedback
  • Assisting with interviews & assessment days
  • Managing all post-offer administrative tasks with candidates
  • Ensuring candidates have suitable Right to Work documentation and keeping up to date with government regulations in this area
  • Crafting and sending comprehensive emails to new hires with information related to the organisation and their position

Requirements

  • Administrative experience, preferably within a people/HR team in a fast-paced environment
  • Bonus points if you have experience running onboarding programmes
  • High attention to detail
  • A positive attitude
  • The confidence to build relationships with candidates, employees and internal partners.
