Vacancy: Training & Development Coordinator (Ref 4100)

Role: Permanent, immediate start available

Salary: £25,000 to £32,000 pa pro rata pending experience

Hours:39 hrs a week, (Mon-Thur 8am-5.15, Friday 8am-12 noon)

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Training & Development Coordinator to join our HR department on a permanent basis.

Key Tasks:

- Coordinate internal training requirements, whilst identifying the most cost effective way of delivering those requirements.

- Control and organise all mandatory training requirements for the business.

- Develop, with internal experts, a range of training programs which can be utilized Business wide.

- Where external training is required develop specific delivery options in line with Makita requirements in the most cost effective way.

- Ensure compliance with all legal & regulatory requirements for Training, in line with departmental requirements. Organize the training for existing employees in line with those requirements.

- To follow up the progress of new starters to ensure that the opportunity is given to them to pass the probationary criteria, reporting any problems back to the supervisor.

- Identify and assess future and current training needs through job analysis, career paths development, annual performance appraisals and consultation with line managers

- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness, success and ROI of all training processes and deliver specific output reports for each.

- In conjunction with Departmental Managers develop tailor made training programs as necessary.

- Take responsibility for ensuring all area specific documentation is kept up to date – in line with the MMS system and 3rd step checking process.

- To assist in the development of continuous improvement and co-operation in the department and contribute to the businesses Improvement and kaizen reporting processes.

GENERAL TASKS:

- Understand the relevant procedures and training manuals for all tasks

- Ensure the accuracy and on time delivery of all tasks.

- Support activities to meet departmental objectives.

- To assist in the development of a continuous improvement culture at all times.

As Training & Development Coordinator you will need to have:

- Ability to work under pressure

- Proven work experience as a Training Coordinator, Trainer or similar role

- Hands-on experience developing, delivering and coordinating training events

- Adequate knowledge of learning management systems

- Proven ability to complete full training cycle (assess needs, plan, develop, coordinate, monitor and evaluate)

- Experience with e-learning platforms

- Advanced organisational skills with the ability to handle multiple assignments

- Excellent communication and leadership skills

- Familiar with the Apprenticeship Levy schemes

- Strong writing and record keeping ability for reports and training manuals

- Good computer skills with an experience of excel

- Strong attention to detail

- Highly motivated with a ‘can do’ attitude.

- Formal qualification in education, training, HR or related field
