ROLE RESPONSIBILITY:

Training Coordinator

Salary: £29,500 - £34,500 per annum

Full Time - 37.5hours per week (12 Month contract, Maternity Leave Cover)

We now have an opportunity for a Community Contracts Training Coordinator to join our team in Bridgend.
This is a new post to work with the senior management team to develop and deliver a training matrix for all staff working within G4S community contracts.
This exciting new role requires a skilled trainer to develop and deliver training for the G4S community workforce, providing development and skills building opportunities throughout the services.
You will work with the teams to create and provide an ongoing calendar of learning internally, whilst coordinating access to local, regional and national external training opportunities.
The community teams support a range of needs that may be impacting on an individual’s life, therefore we welcome applicants from all areas of the health, social care and criminal justice sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Development and delivery of a core induction training package for new colleagues.
  • Development (in collaboration with the management team) and delivery of a training diary with regular sessions which will include meeting a range of learning needs such as: Understanding and working within the criminal justice system / substance use / motivational interviewing / de-escalation techniques / psychosocial interventions / trauma responses etc.
  • Respond to emerging training needs and continue to build the training and development offer.
  • Work with the senior management team to assist in the development of a framework for progression and create a package of learning for new / existing managers and those wishing to progress into management roles.
  • Support the development of educational workshops delivered to those we support.
  • Creatively deliver both in person and via zoom / google / teams meetings.
  • Positively engage participants within sessions
  • To collate and monitor feedback from all training, in order to enhance the offer and develop provision.
  • Take responsibility for your own learning and development, identifying appropriate opportunities.
  • To contribute as requested to local or regional development of training.
  • To maintain awareness of new approaches and develop internal packages that align
  • Be aware of any legislation changes that impact on core materials and learning
  • To take responsibility for the safety and maintenance of equipment.
  • To be aware of copyright matters and adhere to all relevant laws and regulations.
  • To undertake other reasonable duties from time to time, as required by the Director of Community Contracts.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

Essential Skills:

  • Relevant qualification in training and / or a good level of experience developing and delivering training to operational staff.
  • Experience of working with and understanding a range of support needs and vulnerabilities.
  • Ability to research and create engaging training materials.
  • Knowledge of online meeting delivery options.
  • Positive towards the development of others.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft and Google packages.
  • Driving licence and access to a vehicle.

Desirable Skills:
  • Knowledge of the crime and justice sector.
  • Ability to deliver relevant tasks in line with expectations.
  • Ability to speak Welsh.
