This post is funded by the European Social Fund and The National Lottery Community Fund
We are looking to appoint a dynamic individual to join the team to deliver on our Lottery Funded INSPIRE project, which will support individuals with complex needs, including homelessness and substance use. The post holder will be based primarily at The Glebe Centre, Walsall but may be required to delivery and support in other areas of the organisation within the Black Country.
The post holder will take a senior role in the team, supporting the Centre Manager to achieve the outcomes of the projects.
- Create a stimulating and progressive programme of training sessions that address the needs of service users and enable them to progress and develop
- Facilitate group work sessions, including the planning, preparation, delivery and evaluation of positive activities and sessions to support and engage service users
- Recruit, support and oversee a team of volunteers, including service user volunteers, to support in the delivery of Centre provisions
- Hold, or be working towards the attainment of, a relevant training/teaching qualification.
The successful candidate will be self-motivated, innovative and have a flexible approach to a wide variety of tasks. and The post holder must also have experience of coordinating and planning programmes, as well as delivering interactive workshops that are engaging and will encourage service users to attend and achieve. They will have an understanding of the challenges faced by individuals who have complex needs, who want to make positive changes but require support.
The applicant must complete an enhanced DBS check before taking up the role.
