Role Overview:

JD Sports Fashion plc ("JD") is a FTSE100 organisation with a growing global presence and an indirect procurement spend in excess of £1bn. This role will provide commercial support to all JD businesses – UK and International, engaging with colleagues ranging from store to Head of Department level.

The successful individual shall be able to:

  • Play a key role in training and onboarding key business divisions and suppliers by leading Coupa P2P training and devlopment
  • Create, maintain and deliver training resources for both internal colleagues and external suppliers covering:
  • P2P colleague training (new, and development/re-training)
  • Supplier onboarding and hypercare
  • P2P administration
  • Manage P2P development projects, and improve existing processes
  • Engage with colleagues from multiple JD Group divisions, subsidiaries, and and external suppliers
  • Produce reporting and insight on both a scheduled and ad-hoc basis, contributing to the monthly departmental board reports

Key skills/requirements include:

  • Two years + experience within a fast-paced commercial environment (preferably via accounts payable/P2P)
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills are essential
  • Diligent and dependable providing attention to detail
  • Good understanding of purchase order and invoicing processes
  • Ability to create and deliver quality training materials to enhance efficiency and consistency
  • Confidence to own problems/issues, propose solutions and ensure that deadlines or business goals are achieved within a constantly changing environment
  • Dedication to review and improve existing processes and push through changes where required to the rest of the business
  • Experience of engaging and building relationships with business stakeholders from multiple divisions (e.g. Finance, Property, Retail, Marketing, IT etc.)
  • The ability to successfully balance role objectives with the changing needs of our retail businesses and divisional colleagues
  • Strong communication skills – with the ability to inspire and influence.

Key Duties/Resposibilities:

  • Engaging with internal departments and colleagues to facilitate the roll-out of the P2P system and related principles/processes to all JD divisions and territories
  • Support new supplier set-ups, ensuring that suppliers have submitted correct information on financial administration, including VAT registrations, default tax rates, Purchase Order receipt and invoicing methods
  • Work collaboratively with stakeholders across the Group division providing P2P support and training
  • Support initial onboarding of external suppliers with continued review and support as required
  • Ongoing training support for users and suppliers as appropriate, producing support training materials where relevant
  • Provide scheduled and ad-hoc reports to relevant JD Divisions
  • Support the Property and Finance team with Capex budget management administration and compliance reporting.
  • Developing the use and future scope of the P2P Inventory Module within the wider business.
