TRAINEE TRAIN DRIVER OPPORTUNITY

We are currently recruiting for a Trainee Train Driver (Manager) inCrewe.

TRAINING PLANS

If successful you will be required to attend a comprehensive training and assessment programme lead by our Operations Standards and Training Department in Peterborough.

Applicants must be available to complete the training without disruption from October 2021 to January 2022 (dates are subject to change).

Essential Criteria
  • Applicants should have successfully passed their train driver psychometric assessment within the past 5 years. If you have failed part of your assessment within the last 6 months, you will be unable to apply for this position on this occasion.
  • You must live in close proximity (within 60 minutes) of Crewe station.
  • You must be over the age of 21 with a clean UK drivers licence.
  • Pass a full TDLC railway medical ahead of the training course.
  • Experience in freight shunting and train preparation.
As part of the recruitment process HR will obtain a management assessment reference on all applicants from their most recent line manager. This reference will ask the manager to assess the applicants performance, safety awareness (history) and readiness for promotion. Successful candidates must receive a positive management endorsement to be considered for a Trainee TM position.
