Trainee Safety Test Engineer

Our London (Wimbledon) laboratory is looking to appoint Trainee Safety Test Engineers to assist customers with bringing their products to market both in the UK and worldwide.

Who we are

Eurofins Electrical & Electronic UK London Ltd is a vital part of the Eurofins E&E UK network of laboratories. We provide UKAS-accredited Electrical Safety testing services to customers in the UK and Europe.

We have specific expertise in the testing and certification of consumer and commercial electronics, including plugs and sockets.

What you will be doing

Reporting to the Laboratory Manager within the Wimbledon site, you will work with the existing team of test professionals, supporting our customers as they look to design, develop and deliver compliant products to market.

With a specific focus on laboratory, electro-medical, ITAV and household appliances you will be responsible for testing our customers’ products against a range of international IEC standards and compliance requirements, as well as producing test plans and reports for those customers.

Main duties:

Compliance testing of customers’ equipment

Production of test plans and reports

Handling and guiding customers through the compliance process handling skills

Liaising with customers on technical testing issues

Liaising with the commercial team to identify new opportunities and to provide customer feedback

What you’ll need to succeed

Hands-on practical interest working with electronic circuits (for work or pleasure). We will provide full training.

A good electrical engineering or electronics qualification

Good communication skills

Being responsible for your own actions and taking proactive ownership of projects

Actively working in, and communicating with, a small team
