Monday To Friday - 5:30am -2:30pm
Dynamite Recruitment are pleased to be recruiting for our client based in Chichester that are looking to recruit a Graduate or College Leaver for their role of Route Planner to join the team during this busy time
You Will
- Maximise the efficiency and profitably of all vehicles through the planning of pallet network deliveries and allocating available resources on a daily basis.
- Continue to support the development of the department by implementing new technologies and procedures.
- Be the first point of contact for customers, network depots and drivers ensuring exceptional customer service at all times.
- Check the planning software and relevant documentation, ensuring awareness of the potential issues and offering a pro-active solution to those issues.
- Dealing with queries from both network depots and drivers, ensuring all actions raised are completed within a timely manner.
- To build and maintain a relationship with each customer and communicate to them any problems, issues or queries within reasonable timeframes.
- Issue drivers with clear instruction and react to any changing situation that develops on a day to day basis
- Answering phone calls, emailing customers and depots within a timely manner
- Ensure all service levels are met through actively monitoring and planning vehicle routing
- Ensure all administration is completed to the required levels and within expected time frames, including but not limited to Insurance Claims and CORs and provide clear and timely communication to customers.
- Work with the team to continually develop, implement and manage new communication routes for drivers through the use of training and technology that reduces inefficiencies and risk of errors.
- Be aware of driver hours legislation and maintenance requirements
- Continually develop new procedures that improve internal administration efficiencies within the Pallet Network team.
- Develop and build relationships with relevant pallet network staff at the central hubs
- Develop and build relationships with all member depots
- Achievement of tasks as set out on a daily/weekly basis within the designated timeframe.
- Ensuring our client is always presented in a positive manner.
- Compliance with all existing company systems, procedures and work practices.
- Establishing interpersonal relationships with potential and existing clients, suppliers and employees, providing exceptional customer service.
- Working to become a pro-active and independent employee supporting the needs of the business
- Computer literate incl. Outlook and internet-based systems (Essential)
- Good communicator both verbal and written
- Problem solving
- Ability to work within a team
- Knowledge/Experience Pallet Networks (Desirable)
- Transport Planning (Desirable)
- Driving Licence (Desirable)
- Geographical Knowledge (Desirable)
