The Lind Central Support team have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, positive, problem-solving Trainee IT specialist to work as a key member of the IT team.

The role will be based at our Porsche Centre Tonbridge site and will support all our 13 dealerships across the Home Counties, London and East Anglia. Travel to the different sites will be required from time to time.

Lind offers a highly personal, omni-channel retail experience representing world renowned brands that include Porsche, BMW, Harley-Davidson & Triumph motorcycles.

The successful candidate will report into our IT Manager and will be delivering IT support to our team members across our dealerships. You will be able to demonstrate knowledge and passion for Computer Architecture, Networking, MAC / Windows OS, Office 365 Environments. Along with general trouble shooting skills. You’ll be great at building relationships with users at all levels ensuring they are fully supported and able to focus on delivering excellent customer service. Training to advance your skills and experiences will be offered as part of the role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing first line support for our 200+ staff across the South East of England
  • Day-to-day support, troubleshooting, maintenance and monitoring our infrastructure.
  • Rolling out updates to computers and other devices when required.
  • Administrative duties - the logging of assets.
  • Setting up end user hardware – laptops, desktops, mobile phones etc.
  • Researching and evaluating new technologies applicable to our environment and help implement them where necessary.
  • Assume other responsibilities when other members of the IT team are out of the office.

Essential Skills:

  • You will have experience/ can demonstrate your passion for technology.
  • Proficient with PC rebuilds and repairs.
  • Can troubleshoot/resolve software and operating system issues on both Windows and Apple products.
  • Have excellent communication/documentation and people skills.
  • Has a willingness to learn about the aspects of IT that they have not yet had exposure to.
  • Additional training can be provided.
  • Have a flexible approach to travel throughout Home Counties, London and East Anglia (Full clean driving licence required)

Ideal Candidate:

  • A knowledge of LAN/WAN/VLAN, Active Directory, Servers & Data Switches.
  • Work experience in the IT / Automotive sector.
  • A degree or IT related qualification, or equivalent work experience.
