Sewell Wallis are currently recruiting for a Trainee Finance Systems Specialist to join a well- established business based in the York area on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will join a well-established, growing business with great opportunity for progression.The role will be providing support to the Projects team with data migration from one system to another and also training up users on the new system on a 1-2-1 on group setting.This post requires someone with experience in data or system implementation who ideally has a good working knowledge of finance or a grasp on finance terminology. The main duties of the role will include:-- Understanding customers requirements of moving from their current ERP system to the new ERP system, what improvements, new features they are looking for.- Configuring the system to meet their requirements. - Data migration from one system to another which involves formatting and manipulating the data within Excel to the correct format for importing. - Training the end user on how to use the system on a 1-2-1 basis or group sessions.- Creating reports and analysing the data in the system which can be financial reporting or commercial reporting.- Assisting with post project support queries.- Travelling to other sites weekly.The ideal candidate will:-- Have experience in a similar role.- A full, clean driving licence as travel is required.- Experience of using finance systems (Sage200 experience desirable).- Attention to detail and accuracy.- Confidence and enthusiasm.- Be analytical and forward thinking.
