The role:

This is a front-facing role, where candidates will be able to interact with the public in a newly opened coffee shop in a central London location (Fitzrovia). Responsibilities will include greeting customers, brewing speciality tea and coffee, taking orders, accepting payments, basic food preparation, and ensuring the coffee bar is kept clear and tidy.

Skill to be learned/developed as part of this opportunity:

In-depth knowledge of specialty coffee preparation, including brewing, espresso recipes, milk texturing, latte art, basic sensory evaluation of speciality coffee/tea. Customer service and communication skills. Working in a team. Time management. Problem solving and attention to detail.

Essential:

Candidates must be friendly, welcoming, professional, and with a passion to learn about specialty coffee.

Preferred:

Basic knowledge of speciality coffee

The role:

This is a front-facing role, where candidates will be able to interact with the public in a newly opened coffee shop in a central London location (Fitzrovia) and help to manage the social media of a fast-paced retail environment and specialty coffee roaster. Responsibilities will include creating content for social media, devising and implementing a marketing strategy in line with the business’ aims, photography, greeting customers, brewing speciality tea and coffee, taking orders, accepting payments, basic food preparation, and ensuring the coffee bar is kept clear and tidy.

Skill to be learned/developed as part of this opportunity:

First-hand experience contributing to the social media presence of a start-up business. Gain an understanding of how to target marketing campaigns, both physical and online. In-depth knowledge of specialty coffee preparation, including brewing, espresso recipes, milk texturing, latte art, basic sensory evaluation of speciality coffee/tea.
