Trade Counter Driver/Assistant required for a market leading builders merchant, based in the Isle of Wight area!
This is a full time permanent role, with an opportunity to develop and grow within the organisation!
Salaried at £22,000 per annum, there is an opportunity to earn additional £2000 through a yearly bonus scheme!

Day to day as a Trade Counter Driver/Assistant, you would be managing the trade counter, utilising the stock control system and assisting customers with any queries or support with loading items. You would also be supporting the delivery driving for the depot, loading up orders for local clients and delivering to various sites in a timely manner.

Your day will involve face to face interactions, phone calls and emails. You will play an integral part within the team to influence how the branch performs.

The ideal candidate would be able to demonstrate the following:
  • Ability to prioritise own workload across the variety of delivery, counter and warehouse duties
  • Confidence in engaging with various types of customers
  • Quickness in learning and understanding of product range and depot processes
  • Competence or ability to learn new sales systems
  • Basic Microsoft Office proficiency
  • Physical fitness in lifting and moving stock in and out of the depot
Due to the nature of this role, you would required to drive a company vehicle for outbound deliveries.
