POSITION OVERVIEW:

To deliver our business plans we want to add to our Logistics team and are currently seeking a candidate to fulfil the role of Logistics and Trade Compliance Officer. The Logistics and Trade Compliance Officer is skilled and experienced in global logistics. This role will be responsible for global logistics, import and export customs and trade compliance. The Logistics and Trade Compliance Manager will also be responsible for accomplishing any and all tasks assigned. The role will be operational on a hybrid basis.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Implement and develop customs and trade compliance plans for EOS entities, locally and worldwide
  • Ensure the business compliance with a variety of governmental, regulatory agency and corporate policies (HMRC, ECO, EU UCC, US Customs, US Commerce Department, US State Department)
  • Overall responsibility for the customs and trade compliance of all imports and exports
  • Accountable for the management of customs fees and duties paid
  • Manage supplier relationships with Freight forwarders, customs brokers, and IOR services providers
  • Well-versed with business process evaluation, documentation, compliance, and control
  • Comfortable interfacing with representatives of the US, UK and EU Governments
  • Working knowledge of Incoterms

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • Secondary or Higher Education
  • Strong experience in International Logistics, Customs Compliance, Export control regulations for dual-use goods
  • Must be able to handle UK / EU Export Controlled information
  • Ability to identify, research, and analyse trade and customs compliance issues relating to new and current products
  • Pro-active and flexible with a can-do attitude and a willingness to learn.
  • Organised, accurate and a strong attention to detail.
  • Experience of working in a busy and diverse team environment.
  • Good problem solver who works methodically, to tight deadlines within a pressurised environment.
  • Good inter-personal skills. Able to communicate at all levels across the business and work closely within the team.
