Tool Hire Area Workshop Fitter

We have an exciting opportunity for a customer-focused and mechanically-minded candidate to join Jewson, Leedsas a Tool Hire Workshop Fitter.

Our Fittersare essential within the branch network, you will build relationships within our cluster and understand their wider requirements in order to maximise sales growth. You will be in regular contact with our Branches and therefore you play a huge part in delivering a fantastic overall customer experience by sourcing and locating required tools for hire.

As this role has a strong focus within our Tool Hire part of the business, You do require a reasonable level of fitness due to the weight and size of our tools.

Hours : Monday - Friday 7.30am - 5.00pm

Essential Requirements

  • Driving License for 3.5 Ton is essential
  • Knowledge of petrol and diesel engines
  • Experience of mechanics and the repair of electrical OR hydraulic equipment
  • Experience in contractor’s plant and tools is essential
  • Must be able to demonstrate previous experience in providing excellent customer service

In order to support our customers and deliver a great service you will be required to:

  • To diagnose faults and repair/ maintain a variety of small plants and tools in the fleet including compressors, mini-excavators, dumpers, small tools etc, both on and off-site
  • Update equipment service records once checked and tagged
  • When required ensure transport and delivery schedules are maintained to provide optimum customer service
  • Maintain an up-to-date understanding of current Tool Hire and industry Health & Safety procedures, ensuring compliance with all legal and Company requirements
  • Maintain a clean, tidy and safe working environment
  • Participate in stock-take duties as required
  • Any other reasonable duties as directed by your line manager
  • Comply with all Company policies and procedures (HR,Health & Safety, Business Controls, etc)
