About The Role

We are excited to be recruiting for a Timetabling Data Analyst to join our Timetabling team. This is a unique and exciting role that combines timetabling knowledge and expertise with analytical and data interpretation skills.
The successful candidate will work alongside the close knit timetabling team to deliver a first-class timetabling service to staff and students at the University of Falmouth and the University of Exeter (Cornwall).

The data analysis aspect of the role involves analysis and interpretation of timetabling data to support the timetabling process and inform wider projects. You will also lead on the development of timetabling data management and implementing strategies and processes to optimise efficiency and quality.

About You

Reporting to the Head of Timetabling, the successful candidate will be a highly motivated individual able to manage the dual facets of this role, delivering quality timetables as well as leading on timetable analytics and reporting. You will be someone with experience of working within the timetabling environment, although system-specific training will be provided. You will be an expert in utilising Microsoft Excel to full potential to analyse workloads, model requirements and visualise where improvements can be made . It’s a varied role working across two University’s which will require the successful candidate to show adaptability in dealing with the requirements of two diverse institutions.
The ideal candidate would have the following experience:

  • High level experience of working in a timetabling role in a complex Higher Education environment or similar.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret, analyse and disseminate complex data with high attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven computer literacy in Office 365 including advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
You must be comfortable working alongside senior managers, be good at building effective relationships with colleagues and be sufficiently assertive to enable you to complete the required tasks. A positive and cheerful can-do attitude, with initiative and the ability to learn new applications quickly are essential.

This position is offered on a permanent, full-time basis working 37.5 hours per week contract, Monday to Friday.
