The company A leading supplier of Body in White (BIW) components and assemblies within the automotive industry, supplying into some of the world’s largest automotive blue-chip companies, are now looking for a Production Supervisor to join their team based on an afternoon shift, you will be responsible for 2 facilities within 1 mile of each other The role Reporting to and working under the Manufacturing & Quality Manager, a physically fit welder/fabricator, who will take responsibility for the upkeep, building and assembling of specialist machinery. You will take responsibility for: Operating a range of tools and machinery Ensuring existing control methods are sustainable and effective whilst working within strict health and safety guidelines Working under the department supervisor’s supervision and instructionsWhat you needIt is ESSENTIAL for the successful candidate to have the following: Previous experience working in a manufacturing/engineering/production environment is essential Must have TIG welding, especially with sheet metal, as well as fitting, braising, and assembly. A team player with good communication skills and comfortable working to deadlines and projects and willing to help out whenever labour is needed.
