Are you on board?Role Overview The Third-Party Retailer and Distribution Manager is accountable for managing the relationship with all licenced third-party retailers and retail TIS associated to third party retail channels. You will develop and drive the distribution strategy creating a clear structure around engagement with B2C retailers to strike the optimum blend of collaboration and competition in order to grow overall revenue and improve customer experience.As a Third-Party Retailer and Distribution Manager you will be part of the ongoing development and delivery of the retail strategy from a commercial perspective, maximising the third party retailer relationship for the benefit of both our passengers and our business.What will I need to be a Third Party Retailer and Distribution Manager?Sound knowledge of Rail industryExtensive experience of commercial development/sales in a fast-paced environmentExperience of being target-driven and demonstrable success in hitting the numbers.Demonstrable experience of developing commercial strategy and in defining priority actions.Skilled in the analysis of data including the ability to manipulate this data and insight to identify problem statements and opportunities.Experience of influencing senior stakeholders on the direction of travel having contributed meaningfully through commercial and company governance.Extensive experience in negotiating with and managing commercial agreements with third parties.Experience in drafting and negotiating commercial agreements, the capacity to create business cases, and the ability to explain an opportunity and projected return on investmentA qualification in a commercial function such as hospitality, business, accounting or marketing is desirable.What you’ll get: Free travel on LNER + 75% off other companies’ tickets (for you & dependents) Discounted international train tickets (after one year’s service) 50% discount on LNER tickets for friends & family Generous pension scheme Annual cycle to work schemes Discount, savings and cashback scheme from top retailers Health & wellbeing schemes and discounts Host of training opportunities to help further your career Rewards & awards to recognise when you shine What we believeTo be the most loved, progressive and responsible train operating company, we must make a meaningful difference – always doing what’s right for our customers, our people, the communities and destinations we serve, the future of the industry we lead and the environment we cherish.
