We are looking for a Third Party Engagement Business Partner to join the team in Hull, initially on a 12 month FTC.

What can you expect?

  • This role is based in the first line of defence Governance & Risk function which is part of C&C Operations and is a position to learn Third Party Governance.
  • Governance & Risk facilitates and manages, various functions of the business New Third Parties, Third Party BAU and Third Party Approval, Proposition Governance, Delegated Authorities, including Audit.
  • Project Work as and when needed
  • Legal/Compliance/Business Interaction
  • Providing Management Information to the leadership.

We will rely on you to:

Marsh Third Party Engagement Team

  • To undertake initial due-diligence of prospective Appointed Representative (ARs) and other Third Party Providers (TPP’s) and where accepted, to ensure subsequent on-boarding and supervision is undertaken in line with both internal and regulatory requirements.
  • To assist AR’s and other TPP’s with the implementation of compliant operational processes, provide suitable guidance to their administrative, accounting, training and claims procedures (where applicable) and ensure through ongoing monitoring that they remain current and maintained to the required standard.
  • To undertake other work relating to AR’s and TPP’s, including liaising with the business, evidencing related records, audit of operating systems, review of MI and due diligence checks and providing accurate reports within agreed time-frames.
  • To ensure the correct legal agreements between Marsh C&C and it’s AR’s/TPP’s are maintained and recorded in an up-to-date register.
  • To ensure the FCA application process for potential TPP’s and related Approved Persons is successfully concluded by providing clear guidance in person and/or by telephone/email.
  • Ensuring the annual TPP renewal processes are maintained and all documentation is correct and carried out in timely fashion.
  • To undertake desktop monitoring for AR (and where relevant IAR) and report on same to ensure compliance with the business and regulatory processes/controls in place.
  • To communicate with AR’s and TPP’s any actions required and to monitor and control responses until a satisfactory conclusion has been reached.
  • To provide regular scrutiny of business transactions and the monitoring of the business activity of AR’s and TPP’s.
  • To provide support on compliance and technical regulatory queries from the business and liaising with Compliance in this regard
  • Day to day management of Third Parties including Audit and Annual Reviews.
  • Creation of MI
  • Project work for the implementation of work to be transferred to the offshore function
  • Manage and deal with feedback from the business in respect of Third Parties

Systems

  • Management and day to day running of various SharePoint Databases and other databases.
  • Excel, PowerPoint, Teams & VISO
  • Produce MI reports

Governance & Risk

  • Assist and work with the wider Governance & Risk Team with any projects as and when required
What you need to have:
  • Experience of Third Party/Producing Brokers
  • Compliance Experience or Background
  • An understanding operational excellence
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
