Various HoursApplications are invited from qualified ODP practitioners and nurses who wish to provide dynamic support to the surgeons and theatre teams. This post is looking to strengthen the structure within the Friarage theatre team and both scrub/Anaesthetic & Recovery positions are availableThe operating department at The Friarage Hospital, Northallerton comprises of 6 main in-patient/day case theatres and a minor-ops theatre and 2 recovery areas.A 2 year project will be commencing shortly to build a replacement theatre complex comprising of 6 theatres, 2 minor op theatres and 1 large recovery facility. The build will also include a modern Surgical Admissions Unit as part of this new theatre complex.The theatres provide an operating service to the following clinical specialities:General Surgery, Gynaecology, Urology, Plastic Surgery, Orthopaedics, Maxillo-facial ,ENT and Ophthalmic.You will need to be an active member of the multidisciplinary team by demonstrating a range of essential skills to meet the needs of the patient in a safe caring environment that promotes evidence based practiceThe Friarage Hospital in Northallerton has an opportunity for enthusiastic, dynamic and motivated ODP/Nurses to join our multi speciality elective theatre suites. There are currently 5 inpatient theatres and 1 day surgery theatre on the Friarage Hospital site.The Theatre Accommodates The Following Major SpecialitiesGeneral Surgery, Orthopaedics, Urology, Gynaecology, Plastics, ENT, Maxillo Facial, Ophthalmic, Pain and Spinal SurgeryThe Centre is committed to staff development and offers a good competency based training package.
