Job Description

  • Testing business process improvements as part of transformation strategy including the testing of the “End to End” business capabilities
  • Manage IT, Business, Data, Functional and Non-Functional process change testing
  • Create the Test Strategy, Approach and Execution Plan for the Projects
  • Draft and review testing strategies, approaches and test execution plans for all business and IT related projects
  • Work closely with the Business Analyst, ensuring requirements are understood and planned to be tested efficiently
  • Input into the Requirement Traceability Matrix
  • Design, build and maintain End to End testing processes
  • Ensure testing standards and user requirements are met to maximise the benefit of Products, Applications, Operating Model, Processes
  • Work with multiple teams / stakeholders to ensure the timely delivery of projects
  • Undertake all forms of testing including System, Regression, System Integration, User Acceptance, Stress, Performance, Operational Acceptance, Disaster Recovery, Usability and Functional / Non-Functional testing etc.
  • Plan all test stages of the project life cycle, obtaining appropriate levels of sign-off
  • Lead User Acceptance Testing; day to day co-ordination of User testing
  • Define and implement Dashboards, Reporting, Metrics and KPIs for test execution
  • Defect management; manage test defect resolutions with 3rd party and internals
  • Test automation, design and build of Scripts, maintenance and training of test users
  • Support and input into Problem Management, to design and implement defect workarounds where required
  • In cooperation with the ITSM team implement and embed continuous integration systems and environments
  • Review 3rd Party Test Plans to ensure effectiveness and coverage of external testing
  • Ensure testing is delivered to specified requirements and meets agreed time, cost, quality and compliance objectives
  • Hands-on testing against agreed test plans, recording testing progress and defects
  • Report progress at agreed intervals to project stakeholders
  • Risk identification, documentation, impact assessment, including action mitigation
  • Attend meetings/conferences, within business operating hours as and when required by the Company

Skills and Experience

  • Agile / Waterfall change experience
  • Good communication and written skills
  • Ideally ISEB / ISTQB certified
  • User documentation, training documents and user acceptance plans
  • Extensive knowledge of the full Software Development Lifecycle
  • Continuous testing delivery
  • Ability to estimate testing activities accurately
  • Knowledge and ability to work to standards such as Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL)
  • Cloud-based technologies such as SaaS
  • Care related applications including ColdHarbour a distinct advantage
  • Test automation tooling, products, such as HPE Unified Functional Testing, IBM Rational Functional Tester, Selenium, TestComplete
  • Clean UK driving license and access to a car

Location: Oxford or Lincoln

Flexible working: Minimum two office days at Oxford or Lincoln locations, however there will be flexibility shown. Open to travelling to attend meetings as and when required.

Salary: £35,000 - £45,000, depending on experience

Start: March 2023
