SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT / TEST ENGINEER Responsibilities The successful candidate will be responsible for the following: Help build, maintain and continuously improve the automation framework and associated policies. Using these policies, design, write and execute automated tests. Develop infrastructure tools such as ‘simulators’ and ‘stubs’ to support the automated testing and maximize coverage. Understand and develop complex test data sets. Peer review activities of automated test scripts. Help implement and maintain CI capability. Align to the overarching risk-based approach, maximizing test coverage for the most critical solution features. Communicate and log all Risks, Issues and Dependencies, particularly those relating to automated testing. Knowledge, Skills and Experience To be considered for this role, you will need: Strong SQL / DB skills Knowledge of Selenium and experience of implementing automation frameworks An understanding of CSS / XML Experience using continuous Integration tools (Jenkins & TeamCity) Functional understanding of Qtest / XRAY – Preferably to the API level BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject Strong programming abilities with expertise in Java, C# & JavaScript Experience of working in Agile teams an an excellent understanding of JIRA Additional skills preferred Ready-made automation framework experience such as Robot Framework, Serenity BDD, Cypress etc. Cross-platform mobile automated testing tools such as Appium or TestComplete Python, Ruby Knowledge of backend services and integrations including microservice architecture Experience with common data structures, algorithms and distributed solutions Experience of WinAppDriver Experience of Apache Jmeter Documenting APIs – Swagger / Postman This job was originally posted as
