Test Analyst – Automation

Salary : £66,861 - £74,290

Halifax

Full-time For many of our office based colleagues, we work in hybrid ways which involves spending at least two days per week or 40% of their time at one of our office sites.

Core Platforms is on a journey to build the bank of the future and simplify our operational processes to help our customers with our Business Process Management. We lead, prioritise, and deliver change across the Group Transformation Teams.

In this role you’d be part of our CTO – Core Platforms team working within Lab Service, providing Quality Engineering guidance to one or more of our platform aligned teams.

You’ll Create Automated Test scripts, implementing and maintaining large test suites.

You’ll Look to automate testing where appropriate, update and streamlining the test automation framework & coding standards deployed within the team.

You’ll Participate in Communities of Practice, Guilds and improvement working groups & share learning to members of your team.

You’ll Support migration of test scripts from the existing framework into new our new CoE framework.

You’ve a well-developed communication kit bag with extensive customer management experience and skilled in translating information from the business to IT and back.

A skilled negotiator, analytical thinker and problem solver who will influence positively.

A natural leader who’ll mentor and support all colleagues particularly our more junior team-members.

Skills we’d need to see

  • Solid Understanding of Test Analysis, methodologies and techniques
  • Specific experience in Test Automation
  • Strong UFT/VB coding knowledge and a proven ability to share this knowledge with less experienced staff.
  • Experience in building and designing automation frameworks using UFT2022
  • Experience in creation/migration of automation test cases based on manual test cases
  • Proficient in Agile having used JIRA and Confluence
  • Experience of applying Business driven design to Test Automation
  • Strong ability to learn and pick-up new technologies with a curious and continuous improvement mindset.
