Job DescriptionJob Purpose
- To effectively manage and achieve targeted sales growth across your Geographical area in line with SBD business objectives and overall company guidelines.
- To maximise all potential opportunities for new product listings and capturing competitive business across Trade Independents, Builders Merchants, and Buying Groups.
- To work in partnership with your Toolbank branch(es) to manage existing indirect customers and establish new indirect business.
- To work in partnership with your team members, Trade NAM’s and BUC’s to deliver sustainable growth and cohesive, achievable account plans as set out by your line manager.
- To ensure that Stanley Black and Decker is recognised as the market leading supplier of Handtools & Storage and is maintained as the preferred supplier to your customers.
- To deliver sustained, measurable sales growth across your geographical area.
- To ensure effective and timely presentation of HT&S promotions and new products.
- To maintain high levels of awareness of market and competitor activity, customer trends and provide other team members and managers with this feedback.
- To regularly maintain detailed account plans containing: contacts, product range, sales volumes, pricing, performance and margins.
- To ensure SBD procedures are followed in order to provide first class customer service.
- To involve and support Stanley/Black and Decker marketing & customer service functions, aligning all commercial activities and plans.
- To effectively manage your available sales time to deliver the desired performance within every account.
- To regularly maintain, update, and develop your account information on SalesForce.
- To build positive & mutually beneficial customer relationships at branch level.
- To achieve set sales targets and overall Stanley and Black and Decker business goals.
- Deliver positive sales growth: SKU profitability, promotional net margins and overall account profitability.
- Deliver performance account penetration and distribution of new products , customer relationships.
- Monitor and control personal expenditure.
- Ongoing identification of new business and new product opportunities.
Competencies & Skills
- Maturity and experience to manage a given territory.
- Intelligent thinker, strategic planner, focused and priority driven.
- Excellent personal negotiation/selling skills.
- Strong motivation to achieve, well organized and structured approach.
- Excellent presentation, negotiation and selling skills.
- PC Literate in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Effective communicator both internal and external to Stanley Black and Decker.

Formal Qualifications Must have
- Degree or equivalent level.
- Good levels of maths and English are essential.
- Minimum three years sales background.
- To effectively manage and achieve targeted sales growth across your Geographical area in line with SBD business objectives and overall company guidelines.
- To maximise all potential opportunities for new product listings and capturing competitive business across Trade Independents, Builders Merchants, and Buying Groups.
