We are a small charity village preschool who look after children aged 2-4 years with a strong ethos of "learn through play" and providing the children with a safe, secure environment to flourish. We are looking for an early years professional who has:

  • Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
  • Team player and who works well with colleagues
  • Must be self-motivated, enthusiastic and fun
  • Commitment to working effectively with young children and families
  • Minimum of NVQ Level 2 childcare qualifications
  • Has prior experience of working in early years in a paid/voluntary capacity
  • Willingness to learn and undertake any relevant training courses

Meltham community Preschool is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and applicants must be willing to undergo child protection screening appropriate to the post, including checks with past employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service.

We are a term-time only setting of 38 weeks.

This position may lead to a permanent role.

We require you to work 16 hours a week over 3 days, Monday 9-12, Thursday 9-3:30 and Friday 9-3:30. There is also an additional 2 hours a month planning. We would like you to be flexible and willing to cover extra hours if needed.

Paediatric first aid is desirable but not essential. Training will be provided.
