We are actively recruiting a Site Manager, so if you hold a valid H&S Qualification and do not mind working away from home Monday to Friday, we have the ideal job for you!!

Main Responsibilities (but not limited to)

Manage the onsite delivery of decom projects - some not all of the duties required

• Liaising with the project manager on a daily basis
• Ensure all processes and procedures are adhered to
• Manage the timescales for the project, ensuring completion dates are met
• Calculate haulage requirements
• Ensure all site paperwork is submitted inline with the timelines
• Build relationships
• Reporting any damage to company property
• Ensure network equipment is inactive before commencing isolation or removal
• Making sure all licences and permits are obtained

Manage Health & Safety - some not all of the duties required

• Undertake necessary risk assessment in advance of work each day, ensuring all activity and risk is captured
• Setting up the site for safe working, barriers, signage, spill kit & first aid facilities
• Health and safety briefing with all your on site staff daily
• Ensuring all staff and contractors are wearing the correct PPE
• All visitors are to be given the full site induction and signed in on site
• Making sure all staff are adhering to the Lynx H&S standards
• Suspend any dangerous work activity - sending staff away from site if required
• Keep a site diary, to capture all work activity and supplier performance
• Conducting quality and safety inspections
• Liaising with H&S officer to raise concerns immediately
• Ensure all accidents and near misses are reported correctly

Manage and Monitor onsite staff and suppliers - some not all duties below

• Assign staff to daily duties and record in daily diary
• Monitor & record staff absence and poor timekeeping and report to line manager and HR
• Manage poor behaviour and report accordingly
• Assist new starters with timesheets and expenses - also ensuring they are submitted on time
• Undertake staff appraisals
• Train and mentor new site managers
• Monitor sub-contractors and report any concerns
• Complete new supplier reviews for each supplier at the end of each project
• Supervisory responsibility for Lynx staff on site
• Monitor & record staff performance to be discussed with line manager on monthly call

Experience required

• Qualified H&S Practitioner
• EAL Level 3 award in DC for working on DC systems
• Experience of managing a team
• Customer Focused
• SMSTS
• Telecoms knowledge - Desirable

The role will require you to work away from home Monday to Friday if you are working in the UK and up to 2-3 weeks at a time if you are working in Europe

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £38,000.00-£41,965.00 per year
