We are looking for an energetic and enthusiastic telecommunications engineer with a fine eye for detail.

The Role
As a Telcom Telecommunications Engineer you will be at the frontline of the Telcom experience for our customer base. Your main role and responsibility being to install ultrafast internet connections and active equipment into customer premises, primarily offices.
Responsibilities

  • Installation of wireless and fibre internet connections.
  • Installation of active equipment, from routers and switches, to WiFi access points and structured cabling.
  • Occasional on site surveys to check routes of cabling on documented RAMS as an on site check.
  • Fault finding on telecommunications platforms.

Must-haves
We take a quality-over-quantity approach to our team - talented people with excellent communication skills, self-motivation and the ability to organise their time well will fit right in. You will have plenty of opportunity to help shape Telcom as a strong and positive player in the connectivity market.

The attributes we ask that anyone considering this position should have are:

  • Full (UK) clean driving license
  • Fibre and copper termination.
  • Fault finding capabilities on copper and fibre systems.
  • Experience within a similar role for at least 1 year.
  • Be able to travel, if needed, throughout the UK job dependent.
  • Be able to work away with stop-overs.
  • Polite and courteous on site behaviour.
  • Strong customer facing skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changing job environments.
  • Strong sense of humour.
  • Strong team ethics.

Nice to haves
Experience that may make you stand out includes;

  • Knowledge of wireless/radio installations.
  • Experience in fibre splicing.
  • Fault finding experience.
  • Experience in multiple containment solutions.
  • On site survey and RAMS knowledge.
