A company specialising in providing fibre solutions to customers across the UK is seeking a number of Telecom Field Surveyors to undertake surveying, planning and designing FTTx networks to enable residential and business customers. This is a full-time contract position and is an ongoing contract. Field Surveyors must have a valid driving licence and have or working towards BT Openreach S5/S6 accreditation.

Applications from suitably experienced ex-military personnel (British Army, Royal Air Force, Royal Navy or Royal Marines) are strongly encouraged

Key Responsibilities:

• Read civils maps
• Identify road surfaces / types
• Identify cabinets / manholes / network locations
• Take measurements between points marked on map, beware of utilities and mark up on map
• Identify any possible wayleave issues
• Identify any health & safety hazards

Person Specification:

• Have either or working towards BT Openreach PIA accreditation S5/S6
• Driving licence
• Good PC skills, updating field survey information on handheld device
• Willingness to travel
• Drawing up rough sketches of the internal of Multiple Dwelling Units

Salary:

• Basic salary circa £33,000 + unit completion
• Average daily unit completion increase salary to £50k - £60k
