Technology / Science Technician

One year contract in the first instance

37 hours per week - Term Time Only

£19,312* - £20,092* (Grade D) *pro rata

Ysgol Y Strade is seeking to appoint a Design and Technology / Science Technician.

The successful candidate will be comfortable using machinery and equipment in a modern technology suite, including software / 3D printer, saw, lathes and drills and other equipment. You should be able to demonstrate your ability to use equipment and also be aware of the risks involved.

The postholder will mainly be of practical assistance to teachers of Design and Technology, and be able to maintain machinery and equipment including conducting minor repairs. They should be able to count stock, place orders and re-supply materials and equipment. They will need to be an effective team member, flexible, organized and able to work with minimal supervision. It is expected that the successful candidate will support the Science department in terms of basic equipment and maintenance requirements.
