As a Technical Support Technician, you will play a crucial role in delivering outstanding technical assistance to customers. You will be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving a wide range of hardware issues, conducting repair work, soldering, testing down to component level.
As Technical Support Technician responsibilities include:
- Respond to customer inquiries and technical issues via various channels, including phone, email, and chat.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware problems efficiently and accurately.
- Guide customers through step-by-step solutions and provide remote assistance, as necessary.
- Escalate complex issues to the appropriate teams and collaborate to resolve them promptly.
- Record and maintain detailed logs of customer interactions and problem resolutions.
- Assist with the installation, configuration, and setup of software and hardware components.
- Keep up to date with the latest technology trends and products to provide informed recommendations.
- Provide excellent customer service, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and retention.
Skills required:
- Proven experience as a Technical Support Technician or similar role.
- Ability to use oscilloscopes, test bench equipment.
- Familiar with Windows and Linux operating systems
- Proficiency in troubleshooting common software applications and network connectivity issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-oriented approach.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Adept at explaining technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Experience with remote support tools is a plus.
