TECHNICAL SUPPORT TECHNICIAN – HARWELL – £30K

As a Technical Support Technician, you will play a crucial role in delivering outstanding technical assistance to customers. You will be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving a wide range of hardware issues, conducting repair work, soldering, testing down to component level.

As Technical Support Technician responsibilities include:

• Respond to customer inquiries and technical issues via various channels, including phone, email, and chat.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware problems efficiently and accurately.
• Guide customers through step-by-step solutions and provide remote assistance, as necessary.
• Escalate complex issues to the appropriate teams and collaborate to resolve them promptly.
• Record and maintain detailed logs of customer interactions and problem resolutions.
• Assist with the installation, configuration, and setup of software and hardware components.
• Keep up to date with the latest technology trends and products to provide informed recommendations.
• Provide excellent customer service, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and retention.

Skills required:

• Proven experience as a Technical Support Technician or similar role.
• Ability to use oscilloscopes, test bench equipment.
• Familiar with Windows and Linux operating systems
• Proficiency in troubleshooting common software applications and network connectivity issues.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-oriented approach.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Adept at explaining technical concepts to non-technical users.
• Experience with remote support tools is a plus.
