Woopjobs! are currently recruiting for a Technical Support Engineer to join a leading vendor and pioneer in the Pro AV industry. With customers in over 90 countries across six continents, the company offers an extensive and innovative pro AV portfolio of products and solutions for a variety of market sectors. The Role
As Technical Support Engineer you will be the initial point of contact for both internal and external customers and responsibilities include responding to customer phone calls and e- mails, opening and managing cases for customer issues and keeping customer and others updated as appropriate.
What you will be doing
As Technical Support Engineer you will be required to:-
  • Ensure customers receive prompt response and excellent customer service for all incoming support requests
  • Provide pre and post-sales support for Integrators and end users
  • Support covering all of the company’s products; traditional AV products and a significant amount of support is required for more IT network-based products that include Control, AV over IP and VIA Collaboration technologies
  • Pre-sales includes product demonstrations, both remote and onsite.
  • Pre-sales can include system design, and schematics, therefore experience in this area would be an advantage
  • Assistance to the service team about repairs of certain products, and also pre-sales upgrades/adjustments when required
  • Participate in ongoing training and certification programs to increasingly add to knowledge base and ability to support all the Kramer product range
  • What Experience you will need?
  • The successful applicant will be a highly motivated and disciplined individual and have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in technical support (pre-sales experience would be an advantage)
  • A good working knowledge of AV, both analogue and digital, UC and IT system functionality, installation processes and techniques
  • An understanding of videoconferencing over IP and associated infrastructure
  • Ability to read and comprehend project technical documents including engineering and architectural drawings, schedules, test reports, or commissioning documents
