Technical Sales Representative – Competitive salary – Pontrilas, Herefordshire

Leading Edge is looking for a Technical Sales Representative to join their team. The chosen candidate will be responsible for managing the customer relationship and meeting customer expectations all the way from initial enquiry through to quotation and order receipt, selling technology-based products and working closely with the Marketing Manager to build and monitor a detailed customer base.

You will be the first point of contact for customer enquiries and deal with the process from enquiry through to customer quote for off-grid power systems, utilising in house technology and meteorological data to estimate system sizing.

Responsibilities

  • Promote and sell Leading Edge products to new and existing customers.
  • You will need to build a detailed customer database and utilise the CRM system to monitor the sales pipeline.
  • Have a range of marketing / sales strategies that will support the need to secure long term revenue streams.
  • Organise presence at trade shows and other events.
  • Qualify customer requirements for off-grid power systems, respond, record, and follow up with the objective of securing purchase orders.
  • Use existing in-house system sizing techniques for end user solutions.
  • Utilise available meteorological data (wind & solar) to assist in system sizing solutions.
  • Create quotations and invoices using SAGE 50 accounting system.

We are a small but highly effective business that aims to secure our place in the highly competitive renewable energy market. We have grown organically but now require a technically orientated, sales specialist to push Leading Edge onto the next level.

  • Is passionate about renewable technology and enjoys working within a small team.
  • Enjoys working in a rural location.
  • Has an excellent telephone manner – be comfortable using the telephone as a proactive sale tool.
  • Able to build and enhance relationships between our customers and our company.
  • You should have the confidence to use your own initiative, and to seek out opportunities to improve processes and services.

Customers are at the centre of what we do and as this is a customer facing role, we require an articulate, enthusiastic person committed to customer service.

An interest in learning about the renewable energy business, the products, and systems we sell is vital.

A proven background in selling technology-based products would be a distinct advantage.
