Job Summary

DESCRIPTION

As a Technical Program Manager within Ring’s International organisation, you will be responsible for ensuring we deliver delightful customer experiences with our products in local markets. Your role will include leading local consumer and product research, monitoring and ensuring product compliance and helping shape product development to deliver outstanding products that resonate with our customers.

You will work with internal teams across multiple countries and directly with consumers and installers to help identify needs, insights and requirements. You’ll translate research and insight from our consumers into powerful propositions that shift hearts and minds.

An ability to take large, complex projects and break them down into manageable pieces, develop functional specifications, then deliver them in a successful and timely manner is expected. Maturity, high judgment, negotiation skills, ability to influence, analytical talent and leadership are essential to success in this role.

Key job responsibilities

You will
  • Support product development teams with local consumer testing, product testing, suitability analysis and ensuring local technical compliance to European and International standards.
  • Conduct in region consumer and market research and identify what is needed to achieve a full local product market fit across our key European and International regions.
  • Support the Worldwide QA team on regional and local testing required to ensure exceptional product quality across our physical and digital product ranges.
  • Support regional sales teams with product related presentations, client set ups and ongoing product roadmaps.
  • Track product defect rates, identify reoccurring issues, create resolution plans and implement their delivery.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally on projects with product, sales, marketing and finance teams.
  • Manage local product packaging and instruction book creation ensuring local languages are accurately represented and products are humanly understandable.
  • Stand with and defend your convictions as well as accept others’ point of views when needed.
  • Communicate regularly with senior management on status, risks, and change control.
  • Must be able and willing to travel internationally.

Basic Qualifications
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience in technical program/project management in a consumer electronics environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (EE, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering).
  • Experience designing and writing research surveys and presenting results including descriptive analysis.
  • Experience defining projects, collecting requirements, writing detailed functional and test specifications, coordinating efforts to scope, schedule and deploy new features sets.
  • Experience analysing cost/benefit of feature selection.
  • Strong knowledge of European product standards and requirements for CE certification.

  • Master’s or advanced technical degree
  • Creative leader with superior analytical abilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills engaging technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Strong problem solving and negotiation skills to earn trust and influence partners and teams
  • Fluency with Atlassian SCM Suite (Confluence/JIRA)
  • Experience in productization and shipping of software products (Services or Consumer Electronics)
  • Prior experience as a software or hardware developer is a plus
