We are excited to offer these newly created roles in a purpose built, new factory. Purpose of the role Efficiently operate and maintain production machinery to manufacture quality products. Carry out routine and general line operator maintenance and support the Engineering team during planned and unplanned maintenance. To ensure that production processes function at their optimum level through the proper allocation of skills during shift periods, to minimise disruption, delays and waste, whilst adhering to the required quality standards at all times. Key Activities: Responsible for the effective operation and basic maintenance of production machinery To complete production machinery changeovers To communicate daily with the engineering team to highlight any potential engineering issues To safeguard Product quality Working to defined procedures To demonstrate effective teamwork To maintain work area standards To offer support to colleagues at all levels Responsible for the effective running of machines Customer focused Technical responsibility for staff on line to ensure adherence to work instructions, and technical responsibility of the roles Encouraging best practice by example and working towards the achievement of the team’s overall objectives and standards To oversee the effective and efficient use of all plant & machinery, ensuring optimum line performance is achieved and the improvements to plant and business processes continue Ensuring that the factory is clean and tidy in accordance with the hygiene and cleanliness rules. Ensuring the safety and hygiene on site is monitored and maintained to a high standard Experience & Qualifications: Proven ability to complete basic engineering maintenance tasks and production line changeovers Excellent communication skills and team working ability at all levels Previous experience of manufacturing operations Ability to follow instruction and work using own initiative Must be able to work calmly and professionally in challenging or high-pressure situations Ideally educated to GCSE standard Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to coach, motivate and develop others Wavelength Recruitment are acting as an Employment Agency on this occa
