Aulds Bakeries have been making day-fresh bakery products since 1900 and continue to produce a range of high-class products for the retail and foodservice markets from its BRC grade AA approved production facility in Greenock. Now producing products in both fresh and frozen states the company has seen its markets expand throughout the UK and abroad and now has an enviable portfolio of blue-chip customers.

We are looking for a Technical Manager to join our senior management team working closely with the production department to continually improve operating standards and ensure compliance within the company’s operations. The role is responsible for the:

§ Implementation and maintenance of Food Safety Standards, Quality Assurance, Process Control and Hygiene Systems and Documentation within the production facility to meet the requirements of BRC and SALSA

§ Compliance of Hygiene Systems and Food Safety Standards within our retail outlets

§ Food safety compliance of the company’s delivery operations

Working closely with the production, sales, product development, distribution, and engineering teams internally and liaising with the relevant external compliance authorities, customers and suppliers, the role is key to the ongoing success of the company.

To meet this challenging role, you will require a:

· Degree in a Biological Science and a minimum of 4 years relevant experience in a food manufacturing environment.

· Minimum of a level 3 or intermediate HACCP qualification,

· Formal qualification in internal auditing

· Good knowledge of BRC standards and food hygiene.

· Computer literacy together with good communication and teamworking skills.
