Due to our consistent success and business growth we now need to strengthen our technical and quality management functions. We are seeking an experienced Technical Managerwho can work alongside our existing Head of Technical and other team members to help develop our compliance and quality systems, and contribute to our rapidly increasing new product development challenges.

The successful candidate will be educated to degree level, experienced in the beverage industry at a similar level, and qualified to help us maintain and develop our quality and compliance operations. This new role will be pivotal in preparing us for the challenges of a fast growing and dynamic business. You will naturally be able to problem solve under pressure, have well-developed communication and interpersonal skills which will enable you to swiftly build and maintain supply chain relationships. Numeracy and IT skills essential.

This is a full time, permanent position and is a great opportunity for anyone with the requisite skills and experience to join a small but very dynamic team in a company at the very forefront of the beverage industry.

Responsible to the company’s Head of Technical, our ideal candidate will be responsible for:

• Maintaining the existing strong relationships with our manufacturing partners, particularly with their technical, quality and process teams, and will also be at ease developing new relationships when these arise.
• Coordinating new product development with the rest of the technical team, our suppliers and with our ‘in house’ commercial NPD teams.
• Recipe and specification set up from NPD to ensure compliance throughout (own products)
• Recipe and specification set up from NPD to ensure compliance throughout (own label products)
• Strengthening our compliance and regulatory capabilities. Ensuring that the company is kept up to date with all regulatory matters relating to our products, especially in areas such as labelling, composition, ingredients, recipes, and all other relevant standards. Experience in challenges presented by export requirements would be an advantage.
• Planning and coordinating our audit programme and extending that to include assessments and analysis of any vulnerabilities in our supply chain.
• Ensuring that our database of specifications of finished goods and materials used are up to date and regularly reviewed and maintained.
• Ensuring that the technical team are delivering high quality service to the rest of the production team and to all other departments.
