Role Purpose: You will be responsible for monitoring and evaluating product and processing systems. Ensuring that the Quality Management System is appropriate for business and customer needs and complies with all prevailing legislation and the requirements of the Global Standard for Food Safety (BRC.) Reporting to: CEO Main Duties and Responsibilities:Responsible for the management of the QMS in accordance with BRC requirements and drive improvement in these areas. Ensure that all Quality and Food Safety related in-house systems and procedures are updated, revised, and modified to meet the needs of external certification bodies. Engaging, directing, and supporting employees to participate in the QMS, where applicable to their role. Contribute to internal systems audits, providing training and support, as required. Following up of non-conformances raised from internal and external audits, assisting, and ensuring that corrective actions are implemented in a timely and effective manner to resolve any issues. Implementing metrics to highlight non-conformances that are ineffective and that are not being addressed in a timely manner. Leader of HACCP/VACCP &TACCP team, assisting & documenting the team meetings to ensure that the Company’s responsibilities and aspirations for food safety are met. Ensure that risks and opportunities are identified, addressed, and reviewed on a regular basis. Work as part of the Management team to share ideas and improve operations, recommending, supporting, and implementing continuous improvement activities. Work closely with management team to share ideas to improve processes and procedures to optimise results and improve quality of delivery, in line with quality standards requirements, Company and Customer requirements. Responsible for managing and the coordinating of training within Nutree life ensuring all staff training requirements are being fulfilled and records are kept up to date. Support with training of processes and procedures when required i.e., when this would not normally be expected to be trained out by department managers. Conduct forward and backwards traceability tests when required to ensure full compliance highlighting any gaps or ways of improvement. Responsible of reviewing for risks and signing off new products, raw materials & packaging to be used on site. Responsible for ensuring all laboratory testing is documented, interpreted, and coordinated effectively. Highlighting out of specifications and this liaising with the relevant departments. Manage investigations for customer complaints, supplier Non-conformances and internal non-conformance. Support in the management of all suppliers, providing data for non-conformances, reviewing SAQ’s, specifications and conducting supplier audits if required. Responsible for QA department and NPD department. Responsible for management of all team member within the QA/NPD team Complete additional tasks relating to the role when requested to by line manager.Role Requirements:
  • Able to demonstrate a high level of attention to detail.
  • Able to demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of on-site systems and processes.
  • Able to work to tight deadlines.
  • PC Literate in Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Experience in working towards BRC standards (preferred)
  • Internal auditing certificate
  • HACCP Level 3 certificate
  • Food Safety Level 4
  • A good working knowledge of health, safety, and security requirements
  • Experience with writing and enforcing quality procedures.
