Redgate understands that the skills of a great Technical Lead can vary; some are stronger in the technical and others in the non-technical. So, while we expect a proven history of development experience, we are also keen to meet those whose people management is stronger than their technical!

  • You thrive in a highly collaborative team and are enthusiastic about engaging with customers, designers, and product managers as necessary to create great products and services. 
  • Experience as a people manager with proven success of running 1:1s, caring and helping everyone in your team, coaching and mentoring to support their growth and progress
  • (Desirable) You have experience delivering software using cloud-native technology such as Kubernetes.
Technical Leads at Redgate are vital to the success of our teams and the quality of the products we sell. The role requires a mix of skills; team leadership (both as part of the leadership group and the engineering team directly), technical leadership, people management and customer focus.

Redgate is happy to fully fund all charges related to the successful applicant obtaining a Skilled Worker Visa if needed. We also assist with both the financial costs and logistics of your move to the UK.

At Redgate, we recruit on a rolling basis, which means we carry on recruiting until we find the right person for the role. As a result, we tend to compare individuals to the role specification rather than to each other.

During the selection process, Redgate’s Flexible-Hybrid working model will be discussed, alongside the expectations for the specific role you have applied for.

  • For the majority of roles, if you can commit to travelling to the nearest office on a weekly basis, you can live wherever you like as long as it’s in a country or US state where Redgate has an office.
  • Permanent working from countries or US States where we don’t have an office won’t be possible unless the job advert states otherwise.
  • Some roles may require more office presence than others which might influence where you choose to live.
For the rest of 2021 we are supporting fully remote working for those that are uncomfortable returning to an office at the moment. However, you do have the option to come into an office on an occasional basis and many people are now choosing to do this, where our offices are open (Cambridge, UK; Berlin, Germany; Brisbane, Australia; Pasadena, CA).
