Affecto are thrilled to be working with a fantastic company who specialise in innovative solutions for transport problems, and creating cost reducing software. We are looking for an experienced Technical Architect to join their fun and friendly team.

What will you be doing?

  • Design and delivering the software architecture strategy
  • Define technical solutions, documenting and translating business requirements into solution designs that are delivered on time and to standard
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to understand technical requirements and deliver commercially viable solutions
  • Plan and design the infrastructure of our solutions in line with commercials by making use of Azure PaaS and SaaS offerings
  • Ensure best practice standards are implemented whilst anticipating future developments and trends
  • Provide technical expertise that bridges the gap between the technical and non-technical for projects and programmes in alignment with overall strategy
  • Be proactive in identifying opportunities for improvement across multiple products and programmes with justifications around risk, impact and complexity
  • Ensure technical governance is understood and deliver the assurance of a service
  • Ensure key stakeholders are educated and informed on design objectives and technical governance

What experience and skills do you need?

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Comfortable presenting technical information to a non-technical audience
  • Problem solving aptitude
  • Organisational and leadership skills
  • Critical thinker
  • Significant web application software architecture experience using .Net and Azure
  • Experience working in both structured and agile projects in a delivery focused environment.
  • Hands-on experience in delivering solutions from inception through to implementation
  • Experienced in managing/leading a technical team
  • Experience with a range of modern enterprise application integration techniques and technologies
