Job Type: Full Time, Fixed Term 12 Months
Location: South Manchester

Reporting to the Head of Digital & Data, the Technical Applications & Development Manager will work with the Head of Digital & Data to provide day to day management of the Technical Applications and Software Development teams.

About You:

For your application to be successful, you will be educated to a degree level or equivalent. You will have experience of managing teams and delivering projects, as well as experience of working with SQL Server, BI Stack and data administration alongside supporting and integrating applications. You’ll have a working knowledge of large and complex datasets, experience of using reporting tools and the ability to deal with 3rd party suppliers.

You will have strong T-SQL writing skills – querying, dynamic SQL, triggers and stored procedures. You will also have an understanding of SQL server management studio environment and tools. You need to have ICT Skills, such as MS Office, MS Outlook and the internet, alongside this you will have knowledge and understanding of database security, configuration and performance tuning.

You will have the ability to manage projects and a solid understanding of Relational Database design and development. You will have knowledge of SQL Server Integration Services, ETL and Reporting services, alongside this you’ll have knowledge of modern ICT business systems (including web based applications) and experience of end-to-end testing.

Although not essential, it would be desirable to possess an understanding of implementing SQL Server Analysis Services and Data Warehousing. Furthermore, you may have an understanding on Software Developments and delivery frameworks. It may also be helpful to have knowledge of housing associations, IIs and multi-media applications.
