The opportunity
This is a programme / project management role supporting our clients in identification of requirements/user needs, designing, and defining business processes and technology solutions, guiding clients on delivery strategies, approaches, and management to successfully deliver large scale technology-enabled transformation projects. Most of your time will be spent embedded with our clients’ team and we’ll look to you to provide them with a unique perspective on how they can best deliver complex projects.
Your Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities, Qualifications, Certifications
- Facilitate workshops with client teams to identify and prioritise requirements or oversee collation of user stories and t-shirt sizing
- Facilitate business process workshops with the client team to identify as-is and to-be process steps and roles
- Plan, organise, monitor, and control technology-related projects within a programme, understand interdependencies and determine the optimal approach to manage them
- Define and document functional designs aligning to requirements and solution architecture
- Understand the underlying concepts of the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC), know key phases and activities of SDLC and leverage this knowledge to assist with creating plans
- Manage projects on a day-to-day basis to deliver projects on time, within cost and at the required quality level, such as:
- Create and maintain project plans/roadmaps including cost, schedule, and resource requirements
- Create and maintain regular status reporting to track project progress and status to ensure in line with programme plan
- Assign responsibilities, sets priorities, delegate tasks to others
- Coordinate work efforts, when necessary, to produce deliverables
- Manage the financial performance of the project (e.g., monitoring hours and expenditure variations, contractual obligations, appropriate signoff)
- Manage the risks identified and incorporates specific activities to overcome or reduce the risks
- Experience in delivery roles at a consulting/professional services company, System Integrator, or industry environment
- Proven experience in delivering projects utilising both Waterfall and Agile methodologies
- Subject matter expertise in delivering in 1-2 areas of technology passion such as application development, COTS application delivery, data and analytics or security and compliance
- Hands on experience with day-to-day line and task management of junior talent
- Confidence to facilitate meetings with clients, management, and individual contributors.
- Hands on experience with delivering in accordance with the Government Digital Service (GDS) standards
- Hands on experience in at least one of the following platforms: Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud Services, VMWare, COTS products, large Open Source environments.
