About the Role

Managing a team of 8-12 Journal Managers (JMs) and Journal Administrators (JAs). To delight authors, reviewers and editors across a team portfolio of journals through development of an engaged, high-performing team. To deliver content growth and issue realisation targets. To lead and contribute to global projects, and guide understanding of strategic priorities. To coach a team in effective change management.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinating with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate production of printed materials.
  • Working with JMs to understand key trends, bottlenecks and areas for improvement across team journals
  • Coaching and supporting continuous improvement and optimization work
  • Leading and contributing to global projects striving for change; collaborate across departments
  • Working with team to deliver content growth and issue realization targets on team portfolio of journals
  • Developing effective collaboration between team members and team managers, and across teams, both locally and globally

Requirements

  • Have excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Have familiarity with manuscript tracking systems and publishing software.
  • Able to work collaboratively and effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Have a deep understanding of editorial processes, peer review, and industry standards
