Role And ResponsibilitiesMain Purpose of Job:Responsible for the support and maintenance of the Synthetic Training Equipment (STE), on site, and monitoring the performance of the On-Site maintenance technicians.Key Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for the maintenance team.
  • Responsible for the co-ordination of all document change requests and related hardware changes.
  • Undertake Quality Assurance and acceptance activities with the guidance of the Quality Department.
  • Responsible for ensuring that all aspects of Health and Safety are adhered to, within the Synthetic Training Equipment environment, in accordance with the Health and Safety Plan/Policy.
  • Provide technician/shift leader cover as required.
  • Perform Daily Flight Servicing to ensure that Synthetic Training Equipment is available to meet the training programme.
  • Perform Scheduled and corrective maintenance to ensure that system performance objectives are achieved.
  • Liaise with the customer’s on-site representatives and end-users to maintain currency with developments on the Aircraft and its operation.
  • Provide support and assistance during Post Design Services (PDS) modifications.
  • Implement and monitor the On-Site Quality system to ensure that the standard of workmanship is maintained.
  • Accountable to the Manager for the cost-effective management, technical direction and staffing of the Facility.
  • Management of assigned staff including career development within allocated budget.
  • Perform any other task which can reasonably be expected by the Manager.
Knowledge and Experience:
  • Extensive simulation techniques experience based on working on computer systems, interfaces, hydraulics, instructor stations, image generators and display systems.
  • Thorough knowledge and experience of a wide range of simulation software design methodologies.
  • Good aircraft system knowledge on various aircraft types.
  • Team management skills and experience.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good PC skills (MS Word, Excel, etc).
Other:
  • Shift pattern, working 4-on, 4-off made up of days, night, and weekends working.
  • Must have the right to live and work in the UK.
