You will be part of one of the most successful grant funding teams in Europe, working with clients to secure grants of up to £5 million. Who we are looking for Due to continued growth and expansion we are seeking a dynamic, inspirational, highly experienced, qualified team leader to manage our team of bid writers and bid managers. You will be responsible for supervising, managing, guiding and motivating team members on a daily basis. As a team leader, you will be the primary contact point for all team members, so your communication skills should be excellent. You should also be able to act proactively to ensure smooth team operations and effective collaboration. As our work involves management of a number of multiple bids for the same deadline, you will also be responsible for overall programme management. Ultimately, you should lead by setting a good example and engage the team to achieve goals. You will report directly to the Innovation Director, and work closely with the Head of Innovation. Main Duties and Responsibilities To ensure all proposals are submitted on time and to the highest quality levels. To continue to drive our proposal success rates
  • Create an inspiring team environment with an open communication culture
  • Set clear team goals and delegate tasks and set deadlines
  • Oversee day-to-day operation of the bid writing function
  • Monitor team performance and report on metrics
  • Motivate team members and undertake performance reviews and appraisals.
  • Recognize high performance and reward accomplishments
  • Management of the overall portfolio of bids
  • Provide guidance, training and coaching where appropriate. Other To undertake any further training as identified in the Shaw Trust review procedures. Ensure that safe working practices are followed in respect of COSHH and other Risk Assessment control measures. To report to line manager, or other appropriate person, in the event of awareness of bad practice. Recycle and manage energy within your environment in line with Shaw Trust’s Strategic aim to adopt green approaches and become carbon neutral.
